I was eating lunch today kicking around ideas for my next blog post when I got an email from someone who purchased the Liquidators Guide. I really like getting feedback about our work, but this comment really made my day…here is a snippet of her email:
“Hello! Purchased the Liquidators Guide…have to say it was best $37 spend ever! I am currently buying from the famous catalog source,” – Laura F.
Laura is talking about customer returns and 1st quality clotting from Victoria’s Secret Catalog. VS Supplier detail can be found in our guide.
Ok, on to greater things….
I can’t cover everyone’s niche, and to be honest, today I’m going to touch on a subject that might make some people flinch. But, I got to be upfront with all of you, we are here to make money. We are here to talk about liquidation deals, right?
Today I received an offer for merchandise I never thought to resell, but as I did a little research, I realized that this product is probably in high demand. I’m talking about women’s Depends undergarments. Not real fun to talk about, huh? Well, let’s see if we can make some money selling this product:
Amazon lists a bundle of 4 (17 ct each) for 66.97 –
The liquidation shelf pull cost from my supplier shows a 17 Ct pack for an average cost of $5 per pack. Calculation based upon my figures selling FBA:
$66.97 Sell price
$1.00 Pick and Pack
$1.00 FBA order handling
10.22 Inbound Shipping per 4 packs (broke down by pallet)
$1.75 large standard weight fee
.26 30 day storage fee
2.86 Amazon Commission
.65 variable closing fees
Buy cost 4 pack $20.00
Total Cost: $37.34
Profit 29.63 per bundle! Not bad considering you would be listing in multiples.
The moral of the story: Think outside of the box when it comes to making money on eBay or Amazon. Although selling depends undergarments may not be the most exciting business…you’re still making money!
This supplier offering these goods emails offer to me daily ranging from salvage groceries to shelf pull general merchandise. This company is one of the largest third party reverse logistics providers currently operating in the states.
